Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower and Historic Site

So this tower was built so you can see the starting area where Lewis and Clark began their travels. It was rather neat to see the two rivers joining, and the flood area and levees. The Mississippi and Missouri rivers are big enough, when you add the flood plain it is unreal. The next stop was Lewis and Clark Historical Site, which has mock up of the camps that were built in their travels. I think the boat that was on display was the interesting, to see the size, which was smaller then you would think, and how it was all packed. They asked to have you sign in on this visitor log, to help prove to the state that the site is worth it. Which is sad to me, with all the way our tax dollars are spent, to not fund a historical site like this annoys me.

Visited Gateway Arch

Well after what started our as a very cloudy overcast day, the sun came out and we headed off to downtown St. Louis to see Gateway Arch. Have to admit, it is much larger then I thought. We did not get a chance to go up in it, we arrived a little late, but still a sight.
