St Louis

Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower and Historic Site

So this tower was built so you can see the starting area where Lewis and Clark began their travels. It was rather neat to see the two rivers joining, and the flood area and levees. The Mississippi and Missouri rivers are big enough, when you add the flood plain it is unreal. The next stop was Lewis and Clark Historical Site, which has mock up of the camps that were built in their travels. I think the boat that was on display was the interesting, to see the size, which was smaller then you would think, and how it was all packed. They asked to have you sign in on this visitor log, to help prove to the state that the site is worth it. Which is sad to me, with all the way our tax dollars are spent, to not fund a historical site like this annoys me.

Chesterfield, William, and Sonoma

So, again weather seems to not be as the weather guessers say, and overcast again. So off to the Mall! The Chesterfield Mall is about 20 mins down the road. Well, it would seem this is one mall not going well, a lot of closed store, but rest assured the America Girl store is open. We did find a Williams Sonoma store, and well I like their hot chocolate, so we stopped in. We found the can, which is normally 19.95, was on clearance for $2.97, so Jen bought all they had. Which was funny, because another lady saw ours and went looking for it only to find Jen bought it all….

Well Jen and Avery are off shopping at American Girl and me and the boys are sitting in the parking lot, watching Veggie Tails. What! Excitement, the person next to me just backed out and hit a passing car, neat! Anyways, hopefully it will clear up soon, we would like to hit the Lewis and Clark observation tower.

Visited Gateway Arch

Well after what started our as a very cloudy overcast day, the sun came out and we headed off to downtown St. Louis to see Gateway Arch. Have to admit, it is much larger then I thought. We did not get a chance to go up in it, we arrived a little late, but still a sight.
